Vegan Parmesan cheese

If You are a fan of a Parmesan cheese and you want a healthier version of it, or if You are a vegan, You have to try this recipe! The preparation is quick and simple, and You need only four ingredients; cashews or almonds, fodder yeast, garlic powder and Himalaya salt. So, in less than five minutes, You’ll get an excellent addition for many dishes; pizza, pasta, stewed vegetables, .. (it is so delicious that I eat it sometimes without anything else!)


  • 1 cup cashew  or almonds (not soaked)
  • 4  teaspoons fodder yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Himalaya salt

               * cup = 2, 5 dl




You can make two different kinds of vegan Parmesan cheese; put cashews or almonds, fodder yeast, garlic powder and a Himalaya salt in a blender, and mix it until it becomes crumbly. If you want it to be finer, mix it few more seconds.


You can keep your vegan parmesan cheese in a closed jar on a room temperature (it will not taint because all ingredients are dry, so it can last for a few weeks). You can use it as a healthy addition to pizza, pasta, dressings, ..


Buy all ingredients, turn on the blender and in a few seconds you have a vegan Parmesan cheese!
